Incorrect 'Summarized from product information'
AI is adding incorrect information corresponding to a different variation on the 'Summarized from product information' section of one of my products.
The product includes two variants, one short one long, and the short one seems to be retrieving information from the long one, listing 'tall stem' as one of the primary features, which is factually incorrect, as this would correspond to the other variant exclusively and constitutes the main difference between the two variants (this is clearly visible in the variant selector 'short'/'long').

I have full rights to make changes on the listings but have not found any option to make changes or opt out my listings from this summary in the 'edit' product listing dashboard. The 'Enhance listing' with AI section only offers changes to the existing listing fields (which are also inaccurate).
I have noticed an increase in returns for this particular variant over the last couple of weeks. Although I cannot attribute this specifically to AI pushing this incorrect feature, it does push the bullet points. According to support, there is no way to control this:
After reviewing your listing, I would like to clarify that the "Summarized from product information" section is entirely system-generated by Amazon's AI. This feature automatically pulls and summarizes information from your product listing data — including the title, bullet points, description, and A+ Content — to create a brief overview for customers.
Since this is a fully automated process, the content displayed in this section is generated based on the information available across your product listing and its associated variants. If the AI is pulling incorrect information corresponding to a different variant, it is likely because the system is referencing shared listing data across the variation family.
There's no opting out, even though this doesn't 'enhance the customer shopping experience':
I completely understand your concern, and I appreciate you raising this question. Unfortunately, the "Summarized from product information" section is an Amazon system-generated feature powered by AI, and at this time, there is no opt-out option available for sellers to disable or remove this section from the product detail page.
This feature is automatically applied across all eligible listings as part of Amazon's efforts to enhance the customer shopping experience by providing a quick summary of key product details.
Once updated, the AI-generated summary should automatically refresh information.
We understand this may not be the answer you were hoping for, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
Their recommendation is: 'ensuring that the listing details (title, bullet points, and description) for ASIN B0D8K63CGH are accurate and clearly differentiated from other variants in the family.', ignoring the fact that what's incorrect is the AI summary.
As this is an automated, system-generated feature, the summary periodically refreshes based on the available product listing data. Since your listing information is already accurate and correctly differentiated across variants, the system should automatically update and correct the summarized information over time.
We kindly request your patience while the system refreshes.
It seems like I am out of options except waiting or hoping the summary won't show up for everyone. There's no way to submit a report for this field in particular:
I completely understand your concern, and I appreciate your persistence in wanting to report this issue. I want to be fully transparent with you — currently, there is no dedicated reporting option or feedback mechanism specifically available for the "Summarized from product information" AI-generated feature.
Since this is an automated, system-generated feature managed entirely by Amazon's , the content is not manually editable or reportable through standard seller tools at this time. The system continuously learns and updates the summarized information based on your product listing data, and it should automatically correct itself over time as it processes the accurate information from your listing.
I have documented your feedback and escalated this matter to our internal team for further review. They will investigate the inaccurate AI-generated summary displaying incorrect variant information...
However, I do want to set the right expectations — as the "Summarized from product information" section is an automated, system-generated feature, the resolution will involve the system refreshing and correcting the information based on your accurate listing data.
Has anyone had any success in making changes to this section, for example by feeding specific product information or any other trigger method, without making substantial changes to the product listing or separating variants? Appreciate any advice.
One would think they would at least include a disclaimer 'AI can make mistakes, check product information' or the sort.

Your listing details are accurate and the variant differentiation is clean, so the AI summary pulling "tall stem" onto the short variant is not something your listing setup caused.
What you can do from here: reinforce the "short" distinction explicitly across your bullet points and product description for B0D8K63CGH. The AI draws from all text fields, so making the variant difference unmistakable in multiple places gives the system better data to work with. If your A+ Content is shared across the variation family, consider building variant specific modules to further separate the two. Your support case is documented and on record, so any system level update will reference those corrected content signals. If the summary hasn't corrected after making adjustments, follow up here with what you changed and we can take another look.
